A multinational corporation focused in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, Pentex is one of the largest, most successful companies in the world. It has headquarters in Cape Town, Chicago, London, New York City, Rio de Janeiro, Sydney, and Tokyo.
It has many subsidiaries, including Verdant Technologies, which it acquired in 1990. The company which suffered catastrophic losses in the early 90’s was quietly relaunched in 2002 and has quickly grown into one of the most successful pharmaceutical companies in the Unite States.
Pentex suffered a serious set back after the loss of its executive board in 2003 in a tragic plane crash in the Canadian wilderness after a company retreat. But business rebounded in 2004 under the new board of directors.
Other known holdings are Veridian, a large mining conglomerate; Thornton Industries, a New York based chemical company; Magadon Industries, another pharmaceutical giant; and Edron, a huge mining and oil concern.
